Frequently Asked Questions

What does Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing involve?
IAQ testing evaluates the air inside a building to identify concerns such as mold spores, dust and particulates, moisture, humidity issues, and chemical vapors. Testing may include visual assessment, air and surface sampling (as needed), and real-time measurements.
Do you perform mold remediation or cleanup?
No. We are an independent inspection and assessment company only. We do not perform remediation services, ensuring unbiased and conflict-free results.
How many samples do you take during an inspection?
The number of samples depends on building size, observed conditions, and the purpose of the inspection.

Most assessments include:
  • At least one outdoor control (baseline) sample, when applicable
  • One or more indoor samples from representative or concern areas
Additional samples may be recommended for multi-zone buildings, moisture damage, elevated readings, or Post-Remediation Verification (PRV).
Do I always need air sampling?
Not always. Sampling is performed as needed. In some cases, visual assessment and real-time measurements are sufficient.
How long does an inspection take?
Most residential inspections take 60–90 minutes. Commercial or larger properties may require additional time.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. All services include a certified written report with findings, interpretations, PASS / FAIL / NEEDS WORK determinations (when applicable), and recommendations.
What standards are used to interpret results?
Results are evaluated using EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, AIHA guidance, outdoor baseline comparisons, moisture tolerance ranges, and professional judgment.
What is Post-Remediation Verification (PRV)?
PRV is an inspection performed after remediation to verify acceptable conditions before re-occupancy.
Do you use accredited laboratories?
Yes. All samples are analyzed by AIHA-LAP accredited laboratories.
Who uses your services?
Homeowners, renters, property managers, real estate professionals, schools, medical offices, commercial facilities, attorneys, and insurers.
Do you serve my area?
We serve the Mid-South region including Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
